7. Waste Definitions
Cleanfill, Hardfill – cleanfill and General Waste can be loaded into the same bin however weight allowances do apply and bins over the weight allowance will be charged as in 5/. above.
General waste refers to products that are no longer of use, made up of various waste streams. While it does include most of the things you may consider to be “rubbish”, it does not comprise liquids or hazardous waste. Other exclusions include food waste, soil, green waste and clean fill waste.
Cleanfill / Hardfill – cleanfill waste is defined as concrete, rocks, bricks, asphalt, clay, sand, dirt and ceramic tiles. No other waste can be placed in a clean fill / hard fill skip bin. The “clean” in clean hard fill means that the waste is not contaminated by any other form of waste.
Green waste is composed of waste products that are biodegradable, which means they can easily break down and become a part of the earth again. This is typically made from garden waste, such as grass clippings and weeds. It is “green” because it is high in nitrogen, as opposed to brown waste, which is predominantly carbonaceous.
8. Delivery / Removal Policy
Delivery and removal could take place at any time of the day depending on our bookings. If you have a specific time request please get in touch with us and we can try to accommodate the request.
Green Gorilla™ will endeavour to deliver your bin on the day that delivery has been booked, but Green Gorilla™ will not be liable for any failure or delays in delivery. Late delivery will not entitle the cancellation of any order or entitle any refunds or discounts. Green Gorilla™ is not open on Sundays or Public Holidays.
Green Gorilla™ reserves the right to defer the collection of any bin found to be either overloaded or loaded with prohibited material until such time as the customer rectifies the situation.
9. Placement
To ensure acceptable placement, access must be at least 3.0m wide with a 4.0m height clearance. Bins require clear flat land and cannot be lowered over fences or obstacles. Bins are not permitted on the road or on footpaths unless a permit from the council is obtained. Bins placed on site are not to be re-positioned. Kalista Limited will not be liable for any damage caused to the property when re-positioned by the customer.
