Resource Recovery Facility Supervisor

Construction & Demolition Waste Resource Recovery Facility – Opening 2025

This is a new role reporting to the Facility Manager.

In this role you will be responsible for the daily processing of Construction and Demolition Waste, through the automated and manual recovery plant, achieving optimal utilisation of plant and machinery and maximising waste recovery for recycling and reuse.

This is a hands-on role.  Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Start-up and close-down procedures before and after shift
  • Train, coach and motivate team members
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment
  • Ensure all employees are furnished with and wear appropriate PPE
  • Ensure plant is cleaned thoroughly at end of operations
  • Supervise team members during all aspects of operations
  • Prepare productivity reports
  • Substitute for team members when required
  • Attend all obligatory training as required to be able to fulfil the roll whilst obtaining the relevant knowledge, skills and techniques
  • To perform other related duties as instructed by the Facility Manager

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Minimum 2 years proven experience as a supervisor with leadership skills
  • Wheels & Tracks Licence
  • Proven experience in mentoring and training a team
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Planning and coordinating skills
  • Computer literate
  • Related industry qualification or experience preferred
